Description Super Stars of Country Music This Supers Stars of Country Music booklet is full of photos including Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Charlie Rich, Roy Clark, Faron Young, Dolly Parton, Charley Pride, Chet Atkins, Marty Robbins, Tanya Tucker, Biller Anderson, Freddy Fender, The Statler Brothers, Porter Wagoner, Connie Smith, Buck Owens, Freddie Hart, Tom T. Hall, Waylon Jennings, Jeannie C. Riley, Tammy Wynette, Johnny Rodriguez, Johnny Cash, Ray Price, Glen Campbell, Jerry Reed, Merle Haggard, Dottie West, Ronnie Milsap, George Jones, Mel Tillis, Cal Smith, and Lynn Anderson. Some of these photos are full page or 1/4 page of the book that measures approx. 12 3/4" tall by 9 3/4" wide. The photos are mostly head-shots and are clear and unmarked. On the inside cover of the book is a montage of five photos of Sonny James and his Southern Gentlemen and one of Sonny with Marie and Donnie Osmond. The first page of the book has a full page with Sonny James' photo and a his signature. This autograph was not obtained by this seller so the authenticity is not guaranteed, but the page appears to have been signed with a black marker by Sonny James. (Please see photo.) There is also a two-page spread in the center of the book with smaller photos of "All Time Favorite Superstars" including Hank Williams, Vernon Dalhart, Jimmy Rodgers, Bill Monroe, Kitty Wells, Roy Acuff, Maybelle Carter, Earl Scruggs, Tex Ritter, Minnie Pearl, Uncle Dave Macon, Gene Autry, Ernest Tubb, Bob Wills, Red Foley, Hank Snow Tennessee Ernie Ford, and Lester Flatt. This booklet was published by Son-Mar Inc. There is no publishing date, but the pictures appear to be from the 1970's. The small descriptions with each photo include the country star's name, some information about them, and usually something about how the stars performed and the things about them that make them "crowd pleasers." This appears to be a marketing tool used to promote these country stars. This book is in nice condition with just some wear on the edges from storage.
